We were back on the Icon of the Seas in April!
This was our second cruise on this amazing ship, the first being back in July.
This time, we did the 7-day Eastern Caribbean itinerary with ports in Philipsburg, St. Maarten, and St Thomas. U.S. Virgin Islands.
It was an amazing cruise with S and my mom. Having been on the ship last July, it felt familiar and almost like home.
We were determined to do all the things we missed last time, including an ice skating show, an evening orchestra performance, and a rock band show that I watched on my own. We also did some arts and crafts activities, and S did the Crown’s Edge zipline. Add to it multiple mini golf sessions, lots of walks around the ship, eating in places we had not tried on our first trip, shopping and excursions in both the ports.
St. Maarten was okay. It was a super windy and rainy day, so everything looked gray, and parts of the island seemed a bit run-down. The French side, however, seemed much more upscale and charming.
St. Thomas, on the other hand, was absolutely stunning, with gorgeous views everywhere we went. On a spur of the moment, S and I booked a three-hour sightseeing tour, and I’m so glad we did. We got to see breathtaking scenery, the weather was beautiful, and we could see for miles.
We also spent a day at Coco Cay, Royal Carribean's island in the Bahamas and were lucky to have amazong weather again. The water was a bit cold, since it was April, but fun nonetheless.
We had a wonderful time overall and really enjoyed the relaxation, being pampered, the wonderful ocean views and staying in our Junior Suite.
