We returned last week from our very first cruise (ever!) on the biggest cruise ship in the world - the "Icon of The Seas"
It was an amazing trip to celebrate my Mom's 80th birthday. In addition to S, my Mom and myself, my sister and BIL came as well. My niece and nephew and their significant others were unable to make it.
We cruised the western Caribbean with stops at Costa Maya Mexico, Roatan Honduras, Cozumel Mexico and the Bahamas. We had a suite that my Mom, S and I shared, with a balcony with endless ocean view. It was super cool and unbelievably spacious.
The ship is beyond amazing and being less than 2 years old is spotless and very luxurious. It was our first ever cruise and now we are so spoilt! Any other ship will be a let down.
The food and the service was wonderful. Everyone working there is so cheerful and happy and go out of their way to make you feel special. They had amazing shows 0 we saw the Wizard of Oz, a water show, and a skating show. It is hard to believe that all that is happening while floating on the ocean.
We were sad to leave after 7 days. My Mom had a lovely time and we celebrated her birthday with a special dinner at an Italian restaurant.
I now get why people love cruises so much. The convivence of having food available all the time and being able to unpack and be comfortable is priceless.
We are already thinking about our next cruise!!!

Wow! That trip looks epic. The photographs you shared look professional! Great job. With cruises I think people love…or don’t. Having a new boat would for sure up my review—I really like new, clean, and fresh when I travel. We’ve never done a family one, but your summary makes it sound great. Real Deal
