Because this is a blog....

.....and since the whole point is to document milestones and other stuff, I had to document that S got her period on the 2nd. It super light, more like spotting, but being going on for 2 days so we are officially calling it a period.

She has several friends who have started, so she is pretty cool about it.

For the record, she is 24 days short of her 12th birthday. 

Wow, she is growing up so fast. 

As expected, I have mixed feelings. A part of me is sad the "kid" part is now behind us, although I love how she still loves to play with the younger kids in the neighborhood. But the other part of me is excited that she is growing up.... and of all the wonderful adventures in store.
